How do I access my external IP from internal IP.

Based on the title you can tell this isn’t an easy thing to search for because it’s a little more complicated than that.

There are quite a few games out there that use Steam to populate their active servers list.
I currently host game servers and because it’s all based on the external IP I never get to see my servers in the list.

All the workstations on our LAN use masquerade out through one of our external IPs and the servers have their own
external IPs.

Is there a way I can configure the Mikrotik Router to allow me to access the servers by their external IP?

Router is an RB2011UiAS with the latest stable build.

Thanks.

You’re looking for hairpin NAT.

I knew there had to be a name for it, just didn’t know what it was.

Thanks. That makes my life a LOT easier.
