How do I conect RB with AWG-22 Installation Cable?

Hi,


as You all know, the RBs have RJ-45 Connectors on Board and with the Outdoor Enclosure Mikrotik delivers a connector from outside to inside the enclosere which has RJ-45 Connectors too.


What to do if I have Cat-7 Installation Cable on the roof, wich is to thick to crimp a RJ-45 Connector on it?

Hi,

you can:

  • Use the GG45 connector for cat7, compatible with RJ45.
  • Use the CAT7 to install the mast and Cat5 to the RB.
  • Use a RJ45 female to put the cat7 and later a cat5 wire male-male.


    why cat7?

The problem is not the cat7. It would exist in the same matter if we use cat5 or cat6.

The problem is that the installation cable is to thick to crimp a connector direct on it.
