Hi all,
I have activated Hotspot on the default bridge interface.
At first sight, it behaves like I would expect.
Yet, I don’t manage to log on to WebFig anymore.
192.168.88.1/webfig/ results in the Hotspot logon page.
Does anybody have a clue?

two options:
- log into hotspot, to access webfig
- exclude yourself from the hotspot, through the IP binding menu

If I would go for option (1), what woud be the WebFig url then?
192.168.88.1/webfig/
is redirected to
http://192.168.88.1/webfig/status
… and the status screen doesn’t allow me to log in

just 192.168.88.1 should be enough, if you run RouterOS v5.21
or any other website, like www.mikrotik.com
It’s 5.20 (unboxed it yesterday)
http://192.168.88.1 redirects to http://192.168.88.1/status
Do you recommend to upgrade?

When configuring hotspot, you must specify address range different from the default IP that your router has. So 192.168.88.1 would stay as the management network, but for hotspot users 10.1.0.x would be given out. Then you would just access the 192 address and you would not have this issue.
Right now you can connec to the public IP of the device (any IP that the router has, but which is not in the hotspot network)

An old thread but this solution I find is much easier and faster, at least for me.
IP → Services → www → change to any other value. I use 8080.
hotspot automatically uses port 80.
Of course, you’d need to use winbox to change the value first or the mikrotik android app.
