Please i need to re-install mikrotik os on x86 PC without losing my license how do i go about it?
You say “reinstall”, does it mean you have a RouterOS system running there? Why would you reinstall it then?
Yes i have Routeros running on the pc but i forgot the password for my mikrotik and i have tried so hard but i could not remember the password at all.
Using Netinstall or CD Install from ISO it will reinstall, but keep license.
Just don’t move the HDD, don’t format the disk, and don’t change settings in BIOS.
Can i use the main x86 OS to re-install the mikrotik without losing the license sir? I am sorry for asking too much

What do i do sir?
If you don’t want the old configuration and you plan to configure the router from scratch, press Yes.
If you want your old configuration press Yes in first question.
Do you have a backup ?
I currently install mikrotik and i configured it but it is not connecting to internet..when i ping i always get no route to host please what am i getting wrong
