How do I update firmware? MAP Lite (RBmAPL-2nD).

Hello,
How do I update firmware? MAP Lite (RBmAPL-2nD) device.

Weirdness:

  • I can get access to this brand-new device via WiFi only. Moreover, I couldn’t get access via WEB interface (192.168.88.1).
  • Ethetnet (port, controller, perhaps settings) behaves as it’s dead.
    -I could get access via WinBox (I used wifi’s MAC-Address) only.

I downloaded corresponding update file (it’s called routeros-mipsbe-6.44.3.npk). Is it OK? And first, I’m going to perform an update.
So, could anyone explain how to perform an update? Really I have no clue how to do that. I found nothing similar in comparison with other manufacturers.

Fortunately I was able to update that to freshest FW.
Thanks to youtube movies. All MikroTik devices have the same OS. So update procedure looks similarly.

Map port is not LAN, but WAN (connect it to internet)

Update: In system → packages → check for update! Click “download and install”

That’s it.

Yes, this is second way to update MAP Lite. Of course if internet is available.

And can’t do it though Netinstall?
