How it works better.

Hi
i have few problems with wds connection in a bridge with stp.

And a question:

Will card SR5 rx-a\tx-b anthena mode on two anthenas work better than with a or b anthena on one anthena??
Then wil be better perfomance ?

Problems:
prism 2.5 not working good - clients bandwitch is small
bandwitch between athreos(SR to SR, CM to CM) about 1 Mbit rx and 20 Mbit tx
(checked/changed everything cables, cards, pigtailes and doesn’t goes better ) distance is about 2,5 km with LOS, frequency clear.

I have found that when running a bandwidth test between an AP and a Station unit, the test will give almost all of the bandwidth to the Station device’s upstream data path, leaving little for the downstream. Try limiting the TX bandwidth in your test, or better yet, run the tests through the units, instead of on them. Also make sure that you try to lock your data rates on both ends, as auto-speed-ranging of Atheros cards gives me very poor performance…

do u meen default rx/tx rate or default/configured locking ??

hmm i limited tx/rx and udp works fine, but tcp/ip fatal

i testd witch ftp and max speed is 5 kb/s …!!

maybe i change cards , and see after

I meant the bandwidth limit that is built in to the Bandwidth test, in the Advanced settings… As best I can tell, the Bandwidth test will ignore transmit limits external to the test, so the only way to limit the outgoing bandwidth in the test is to set those parameters in the test, but I may be wrong…

And I was referring to locking “default/configured” data rates in the wireless adapter settings to configured, and selecting a small, close set of data rates should not wonder too much when bandwidth picks up or drops…

i changed cards and still nothing max tcp is 1 mbit from rc4 to mt2.8.27

i try setting with two anthenas

i set two anthenas and problem not solved, i think is some kind of bridge interface

Like I said before, unless you have set limits on the bandwidth internally on the test, are only running the test through the routers, or are only testing send or receive, and not both, the test results are incorrect and should not be relied upon for accuracy. I also have perfect 10Mbps links that will report 1Mbps when improperly running the test…

i’m running through, and this same effect. I tested recive only on both ends

and effect is from 2.8.27 up to 20 mbps
from rc5 only 1000 kbps

tested tcp or udp doesn’t matter

ok i know now,
that connection isn’t going to be worked

some bugs are in bridge interface with athreos

i wait till end rc and there will be stable release…

version rc2 works fine .

hmm rc2 works this same in my case
