I have a MikroTik CRS112-8P-4S-IN and I use it as a switch. I run 5x PoE CCTV cameras that are 5.5w each so that’s 27.5w in total. The other LAN ports are for non-PoE items like a laptop and desktop. I have been successfully running this switch for at least 3 years with a 48v power supply but it has failed. The current (failed) power supply output is 48.0v DC @ 1.46A. By my calcs that gives me about 70watts
Should I be upping the amperage?

27.5W for PoE cameras and lets take another 15W for the switch. So thats about 42.5W total max. 70W PSU is more than adequate.
That’s what I needed to know. Thanks gigagbyte091 !
