How many Aps for 600 users

Hello!
I have a short question, i would like to provide an wlan for approx 600 users with 2,4 and 5ghz devices. how many routers i would need minimal? (theoratical on a blank field?)
Or better said, how many users i can handly with a mikrotik ap (2,4groove & omnitik?)

Thank you for your suggestions!

regards!

I wouldn’t go anymore than 20 to 30 per AP.

Not more?
i estimated more than 50…

Would it be better to use some 493G with 3 Cards an big antennes?

Br

No it is not a limitation of the device it is a limitation of wireless. Putting three cards in one device operating in the same band will actually cause you more problems because of interference.

Thank you for that info.

So i need than arround 30APs for the 600 users. I would like to have the same SSID and Frequency (with WDS).
Which routerboard is recommended?

Thank you very much for your help!

i have tried a 751-2hnD handling 8 mbps bandwidth in an auditorium seminar with 50+ users. All with laptops & smartphones & tablets. They worked with ease. No complains at all.

@routerboarda
Another way of calculating is by asking how bandwidth will you offer to each of the 600 users,
Also what is the operational distance for the AP’s.

Bandwith ist not that high, they will use a local server, and we have just 2mbit uplink to the internet. So basic connectivity is good enough.

751 is a quiet small box, and 50 users. that makes me happy
So i can calculate with 10-12 Boxes than with 30.

I have to cover an area (hall) with approx 3000m²
So no walls, covering that area should be not the challanging part.

thanks an regards

2Mb uplink but what internet bandwidth do you have available to serve 600 users.

Up to the Internet just 2 MBit.

But the most traffic will be internal, to some servers.

Nevertheless if i imagine 1Mbit to every mobile device this should be enough…
