I have to install a few cap ax aps in my office. Three of them would go to a location, where it would be easier if I could daisy chain them, powering only the first, and the subsequent APs got electricity from the previous ones, but I’m not sure if this setup would be stable, or wouldn’t overload the power supply?
Max POE out (assuming you use 57V supply) is 400mA. That’s 22.5W.
If you use 48V adapter, that goes down to 19.2W.
Some power loss to be accounted as well for the next feeding line.
Cap AX uses between 11W and 36W (max max, rarely the case) so I would think you can only daisy-chain 2 devices on 1 power chain.
Take also into account, the default PSU (48V / 0.95A) gives you 45.6 W.
So I think it was already meant to be used for adding 1 device after it.
