Hello guys,
I am working in a company and we have a Linksys E900 (such a bad router, yes…). So in this company we have got 20 computers around in lan/ethernet and also we have the WIFI turned on.
I checked turning off the WIFI and all is going good, without saturations, connections lost.
And because of the WIFI, the router ALWAYS get saturated and I have to plug off and plug in daily so that it works well again.
So I have been finding out a lot about routers, and I found that Mikrotik is a very good router.
So, can the Mikrotik RB951UI-2HND support 20 computers around and Wifi connection (another 20 smartphones)?
I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.
Sorry for my english but I am from Argentina and there isn’t a good forum in spanish abou this topic, so I arrived here for that reason hah.
i want to add the topic of wlan, maybe today is not important to you but in the future will be
I suggest you the hap lite AC, similar price but with the plus of a second wireless interface on the 5ghz band to improve your wlan performance
if the wireless is not important at all buy a rb750gr3 wich is only wired but has more cpu power
Thank you chechito for your greatness.
But I’d prefer to prioritize that the router has a good cpu power with a good wireless but not stronger than cpu power that’s why i looked hap lite ac specs vs rb951 and it looks like the rb951 is stronger.
Correct me if I am wrong.
If for some reason the router cant stand/support all the devices conected on him via wireless, wired, I might buy an access point, or not?
And another thing, can I limit the bandwith only for Wireless without limiting wired? Idk if Mikrotic can do that in lvl 4. I am asking this because maybe i might give WIFI to the clients in this company
If you have a better option what i am suggesting, let me know.
Thanks
