Hi, I was wandering how many devices can powerbox run? I have setup of powerbox powered by poe injection adapter 24V 2,5A (it comes in a package) trough 15m long UTP cable and thean powerbox gives power to few hAP’s trough 1m UTP patch cable(when I plug 2 of them powerbox leds starts turning on and of)
I was wandering If anbody tried this, and how many devices powerbox can run? Can mANTbox be run by powerbox + 3 hAP+s?
I use powerbox 4 ethernet to supply power and there is no problem… i use 4 ubnt device or 4 SXT on it’s ethernet and working good. just do not forget to set ether1-poe-in-long-cable: yes.
here is code;
/interface ethernet poe settings set ether1-poe-in-long-cable=yes
I set the setting
/interface ethernet poe settings set ether1-poe-in-long-cable=yes
But the problem is still present, on the poe out setting of an interface in powerbox poe mode is set to “auto” and PoE Out Status goes to “powered on” than immediately to “current too low” and than “waiting for load” and than from begining it goes po “powered on” and so on… Does anybody have idea what is a problem here, i ahve just 2 hAP’s and Media Converter conected to this power box
It’s new powerbox with original power supply, i have 3 of them (and 3 power adapters and 3 poe injectors), every of them do the same with poe out, poe out is version 2.17
Today i tried to put hexPOE instead of powerbox, and it works fine, so 3 new powerbox’s says “current to low” and 2 hexPOE works just fine on the same cable, and i give a power from one hexpoe to mantBOX, another hexpoe and 2 hAP’s,…now I am confused and worried that I have powerbox’s with some poe bug maybe?
