How much is the CPU temp consider hot?

I am running CCR 1016 in a closed room with ambient temp around 30-35 C and maybe up to 40 C in summer.
My CCR 1016 cpu temp is at 51C and temp (I assumed to be pcb’s) is at 40C with fan running at 4500-5000 rpm.

My problem is I try to cool it down to stop the fan because of the noisy sound, after changing thermal paste, nothing is changed. The temp and fan speed are at the same as it was.

So I am wonder that what is the temperature of the running CCR? and how much to consider it is hot and might need a fix?

PS. my CCR 1016 is running HOME-USE with only less than 10 clients and a 1Gbps FTX. CPU is loading around 0% at all time.

51C at 35C or more ambient is very good. AFAIK the limit is 95C when it would reboot. My 1036 sits around 35..50C inside 21C office with half ports connected but not severely loaded.

That’s why one should never buy fan cooled equipment in home environment.
