how secure is dual nsteme?

i just built up a dual nsteme connection. and i am now trying to secure it. well i set up keys in the interfaces (there was no option to set it up in the nsteme interface). but hey it worked having the keys only on one side. is there a possibility of securing this connection?
2nd problem: every 5-10 seconds the ping goes up from 1 to 60-70 for a second. i have seen that there are many tx retry timeouts but i never had this problem with normal mode.

im am using Freq. 5210T, 5800T on rb333 ros v3.10
connected with -66 dBm, -69 dBm

// sorry dammit i sort of posted it in the wrong forum :frowning:

Nstream will have inconsistent latency if there isn’t much load on the link.

I have my network unsecured, but use pptp tunnels over the top.

thanks for the reply

we just tried setting back to 2 seperate AP-Client links & maybe use ECMP. But the 2nd IF from one station is now absolutely confused about his MAC. We see 2 APs same SSID different MACs when scanning. Association is not possible anymore. Dunno what happened there. I guess it didnt quite get the switch from nstreme slave to Ap (or client ( doesnt work either))
