How secure is IPIP tunel ?

Hi guys.

Just made a IPIP tunel, works fine.

How secury is it ? do I need to setup something else ?

As I see, it works in pairs, so there is no way for someone else connect in the middle, correct ?

How about package loss, is it fine ? do I need to change some config in other to have a IPIP faster & less package loss ?

I have a RB450G with RouterOS 6.2

IPIP has no security whatsoever.
To make it secure you need to use Ipsec encryption.

IPIP tunnel works fine. I am using IPIP tunnel from last four years & no problem.
