Hi,

I am a graduate student from Malaysia and I just recently installed the software on my pc. However one of my friends in the same lab with me asked me why my pc tried to access his pc hundred times and his firewall blocks it. So I wonder how this software works.

Does it send query to all devices within the network or it send query only to switches / routers ?

Of course it scans all IPs that you asked for. When you do the discovery, you can set what IP range to scan. It will then use Ping and SNMP queries to scan the asked device ranges. The Dude doesn’t know which device is a router, or server before actually connecting to it …
