How to access mikrotik/winbox from different ip location

Hi,

I am in Pakistan using mikrotik 3.3 . I have two DSL lines which are connected with RB750 for load balancing. I am unable to access winbox from other network. I can not access my network while sitting in other city/network. Kindly guide me how can I make setting.

As long as it’s not behind a firewall or connecting via a VPN, all you should need is the public IP of the box you want to connect to.

  1. You must install VPN Server .. Easy you install pptp Server
  2. Rule your firewall allow pptp

Set your modem in bridge mode and configure PPPOE in Mikrotik.

you must have a real / live IP on WAN1.

Then only you can connect your server from anywhere from the world.

you need public ip first to access from every where ask your isp for public ip

Yes I have public IP

1st- Only if your public ip is dynamic, you need script for update every ip changed. See wiki
2nd- You need forward port in Firewall/NAT
