how to access the mikrotik device from any where

hi every one …suppose you have any mikrotik device such as sextant 5hnd .you use this unit as internet connection .
the question is / can we access this device from any where in the world ( by using the internet )
what i have to do to access this device / i mean what are the settings in this device we have to do to make this option
please need your help

let’s say that the ip of the device = 10.10.10.1/24
you say that i need a static ip = puplic ip …how can i know that puplic ip
please give more information about the settings

You need to setup a VPN connection from that device to another device (such as your core router) that has a static public IP. Then you can remotely VPN to your core router and access the device from anywhere. This is the basic idea of a management network.

so i need the following things to perfom the idea/
1- router or core router as you say
2- vpn between my device and the router
3- static ip for the router
4- no more?
can we say the issue is simillar to set surveilance camera ?

Yep, technically you could have DHCP instead of static but you will need a ddns service and some scripting. It is just easier with static.

What do you mean about the cameras?

surveillance camera = ip camera.we need it for home,office,..etc
to set ip cemera we need somthigs/
1- static ip
2- ddns
3- internet connection like router

you need just a public ip on your router THAT’S ONLY IS REQUIRED TO HAVE ACCESS ON THE ROUTER FROM ANYwhere .
