Thank you for reading this. I am wondering if there is a way to show an advertisement as a popup to users while they are browsing. I have tried using advertise option in hotspot, but that requires users to mandate-click on the advertisement to continue using internet. If the user does not click or close the advertisement, which is actually a redirection will stop them from accessing internet. I don’t want this to happen, I don’t mind if the user clicks on the add or not I just want to user an advertisement page. is it possible using any option or software. I suppose there should be something in the firewall or a firewall rule to do it.

Perhaps a script that periodically redirects the next website to an advertisement webpage, not examples, but maybe that will get you started in the right direction.
If you want ads to show in popups you will need to attach some content to served pages. I don’t know if this is possible with mikrotik, but you may be in some luck with proxy softwares.
Yes that is what i am thinking of and I count find much info. Its called content adaptation and dont find any opensource software to attach to squid. Do you know of any?
