How to BILL?

I am using winbox version 2.2.13.Can i manage my clients using per second or per minute billing?if so how do i proceed.

it’s not WinBox function. you should use UserManager or your own RADIUS

thanks for the reply chupaka.Unfortunately, the company that installed the hot spot for me just gave me the win box application to manage the router only.
Also still have problems advicing my clients on how to log off the hot spot.

As chupaka says - this is not the task of the router. the router just routes. If you want a billing system, you need to get one. One such option is to use User Manager, but you still will have to install and configure it. RouterOS can just provide users with a login page, and just redirect authentication requests TO a billing system …

yes you will easy to control them with Centralized AAA [User Manager as Radius Server], that is free charge for you, when you will install it and roaming networks is promise to you too. :wink:

Thanks guys, i have been trying to download user managers from the mikrotik site but there are no seeds.Where else can i get the soft ware?

you can download it with HTTP also. it’s here:
http://www.mikrotik.com/download/user-manager-2.9.51.npk

(depending on your version and platform)

You can use Krige’s Automated billing script also that can be bonded to user-manager to create a billing system. I use it works good. :slight_smile: -Jordan
