I want to know how i can block downloading through third party software like orbit, download manager etc etc

maybe it is better to set download limit for the specific user, and do not worry how user gets the traffic (over orbit/downloadmanager).

The MikroTik is a router and works primarily layer3. It does have some layer7 functions, but it uses a ton of CPU for it to run them. The best you can do is set up some QoS, and connection limits on clients, but you will be very hard pressed to accurately and consistently identify an end user that is using connection manager software.

If you want/need to block specific applications you are looking for a different product, namely something that does layer7 deep packet inspection. These are able to identify what specific application a person is using, and apply QoS rules or block them according to that application. These pieces of hardware/software are extremely expensive however, and unless you have a very specific need to shape traffic and block certain applications, they are very hard to recommend. The top end ones start at around $6-8K US for around a 3Mbps license, and go up very quickly from there.
