How to config hotspot with RB750G + Nanostation 2.4 ghz?

does anyone has any idea about how to config a hotspot using RB750 + Nanostation 2.4 ghz? i have attached a pic my network

Rather easy, actually.

Make a bridge:

/interface bridge add name=HS-bridge protocol-mode=rstp

… put ETH2 and ETH5 into a bridge:

/interface bridge port add interface=ETH2 bridge=HS-bridge
/interface bridge port add interface=ETH5 bridge=HS-bridge

… and follow HotSpot setup:

/ip hotspot setup

Pay attention to build the hotspot on “HS-bridge”. This way, all the clients (wired and wireless) will be getting DHCP assigned IP from the same subnet (E.g.: 192.168.1.0/24).

Otherwise, if for some reason you have to have them in separate subnets, you have to setup a hotspot on each ETH separately.

thanks for the reply Denis, i did that just in a more simple way…
i just assigned in bridge mode the nanostation device with ip 192.168.2.1 and then i build the hotspot setup on the same ethernet port with ip range 192.168.3.1/24 and that’s it :slight_smile:

I am having a similar issue, I have ether 1 setup as dhcp client for ISP. Ether2 is setup as wlan with ip of 10.5.50.1, both ether 1 and wlan have no master. Ether 3 is master to ether4-5 with an ip of 10.5.51.1. My wired clients on ether3-5 only receive ip and subnet, they don’t receive DNS or gateway settings, how can I correct this?

i have rocket m5 90 degree sector and a pc routerboard v.5.20 with levl6.i want to make the following:
1)create AP in rocket m5.
2)sxt as station and connect to Rocket m5.
in the sxt and i want to hve hotspot link from my pc routerboard v5.20 which i want to manage it frm the pc..
..
any help appreciated..
