i m trying to connect a mikrotik router to dsl
and then connect a pc to a switch already connected with mikrotik
when i m trying to access internet from the pc, it shows me the url of the MIkrotik login page and directly it discharge the page
any idea plz?

did you configure Hotspot on the MikroTik router? Remove hotspot config
what do you mean by removing hotspot conf?
should i remove all users, and servers?
thanks for your help
do you want to use hotspot or not?
i want to, because i want to control users
any idea plz?
but hotspot main feature is to show login page when they access internet. so why are you complaining about the login page?
i think you got me wrong:)
i said it shows the login page for less then a second but it doesn t let me login, it keep refreshing
i want to use the hotspot because i want to control the users
it refreshes the same login page, or it redirects your somewhere else? what do you end up with? a blank page or what? can you post a screenshot ?
a blank page, do you think i have to change the IP or the gateway
in my first post?
i used hotspot before but i had to change my proxy
i don t want to use the proxy thing because my new users or clients have to change their proxy
i m trying to access hotspot using the gateway
post that screnshot please, so we can see the URL and the actual blank page. does this happen on all devices, or you just tested one?
i just tested one
i will put the screenshot in 1 minute
thanks again for your response
i really appreciate
it’s possible that the problem is in the PC or browser. try another computer too
ok i will tell you what happened
if i put my IP in the ip bindings as a bypass ip it goes trough mikrotik and works properly,
but if i remove my ip from the ip bypass
it gives me this result shown in the picture

you have entered an invalid DNS name for the hotspot server, in the hostpot setup. it’s just “mikrotik”, which is wrong.
go to hotspot profiles, find where this setting is in the profile, and change to something valid, for example “hotspot.lb”
ok i will try it now
thanks man

better yet, clear the DNS field completely from the profile, leave it empty

it is working properly, i just changed the dns name from “mikrotik” to “hotspot.lb” as you suggested
i m in a session now
thank you so much
