Hi,
I’m new to Mikrotik. I’ve been trying but I can’t for the life of me how to create something simple as a LAN → WAN route.
Eth1 is my WAN, I can ping to the outside from the built in ping tool.
Eth2 is my LAN, from the device connected to this port I can only ping the eth2 gateway.
I’ve set up a simple firewall rule as follows:
Chain forward
in int LAN
out int WAN
However nothing is getting out. This is very simple to do in other platforms such as Cisco, Fortigate and pfsense but for some reason mikrotik is very difficult to understand. To be honest I find the interfaces very confusing and naming of a lot of options is not in line with how pretty much every other router/firewall works, making it difficult to understand what is going on.
Somebody any idea what I’m doing wrong? I’ve been looking at the documentation but that is less than helpful as well.
