Each time I install Dude it sets itself to autostart, so when I turn on computer, it turns on too.
On install, I deselected server part to be installed because I have server running on other computer and I just want to use client to connect to it. I do not know if server starts locally but client is simply ANNOYING. I do not want it to popup each time, just want to run it when I need it.
I cheked all options in Dude, and could not find a way to disable this.
Under Preferences, uncheck Autoconnect at Startup. You might also uncheck the second option, although if Dude fails for some reason, it won’t try and reconnect.
Under the server settings, make sure you uncheck run on localhost to keep the server from firing up.
That should do it for you, there is no reg entry that might need to be tweaked that I can find.

I cannot find way to prevent Dude to autostart itself. It’s really annoying, as I have it on laptop, which I use form more stuff than just monitoring network, and it pops out all the time.
I stil have Dude that autostarts, and only cure is to deinstall it.
Well, nothing that radical is needed. Simply open the registry editor, browse to HKLM-Software-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion-Run and remove the dude from the list of programs starting upon login there.
