Hi guys.
I’m searching for a solution for sometime now, but still unable to find one, I hope to find it here.
My situation:
- microtik cloud core router, wich I’m using as switch now.
on this mikrotik I have multiple servers. 3 multicast streaming servers and 2 database servers.
my problem is, when the 3 multicast streaming servers start to multicast, then sometimes the 2 db servers are overloaded by the multicast traffic.
So basicly what I want to do is, somehow to make sure that the db servers dont get multicast traffic, so the question is, is this possible ?
can I still have all this servers together on one mikrotik, on one broadcast domain, without splitting them to different bridges etc…
but block the multicast on port where DB servers are, for example?
cause all this servers must be able to comunicate witth each other.
please advise.
thanks in advance.
