In our net, we are using RB411+R52 on client side. In last shipment we received from our vendor are RB411 with v3.25 RouterOS. We can not use it thru breaked ssh tunelling function (http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/v3-27-bug-ssh-port-forwarding-is-not-working/30121/1). We tried downgrade to v3.13 (v3.20 and v3.22), but after it RB411 lost licence key and put itself to 24h demo mode.
It looks like problem with “New 8 symbol SoftID”.
How we should do downgrade v3.25 to v3.13 ?
The thread that you referred to states clearly that this works in 3.25, look at the 2nd post down in that thread.
I agree with jandafields, but about the downgrade - you can’t downgrade these devices below the version that came with them.
Thanks for that information. I’ve never tried downgrading lower than the shipping version, but I always just assumed you could go back to 3.0 if you wanted.
Sorry, I was not so accurate. Version v3.25 is on our blacklist for another reason (is not possible to set “/tool bandwidth-server set max-sessions=1”, tested on RB433AH). All never version has regression in ssh (breaked tunelling function), so we first tried to downgrade to version, which comply our requirements, unsuccessfully. After that we upgraded to latest 3.30, where the main problem is mentioned breaked ssh tunelling function.
Sad to read it. Do you have any idea when the ssh problem will be solved ?
