How to downgrade LTE firmware?

I upgraded the firmware to the latest EG12EAPAR01A11M4G version. And found my internet became much slower. Maybe it is a coincidence that ISP broke something, but the same ISP in the phone has a great connection.

During investigating I found the B7 channel is not working, but restarting the modem will always help. After restart, the internet became a bit faster (because B7 is live now).

I suspect the problem is firmware. But how I can downgrade it to test?

I am not sure if you can downgrade.

It’s possible to downgrade, but you would need to host the modem firmware on a public http server or be using a version of RouterOS that allows firmware upgrade from file.

The Quectel forums are full of Chateau LTE12 questions regarding the EG12-EA:

Seems dongrade is possible. But how I could get a firmware version of EG12EAPAR01A10M4G? I checked the forum, but no firmware but complaints only.

I’m not sure using firmware from strange sources is recommended though.
