How to downgrade remotely from RC8 to rb 2.947

Hello, I am having weird issues with RB3.0RCXXX so i want to downgrade.

So I choose the “upgrade” option in the http menu, then I uploaded 2.9.47 firmware then I choose the “downgrade” option but the RB keeps the new firmware. Also I tried to downgrade from RC8 to RC6 with similar results.

In the logs a see a message that the actual firmware is newer so the downgrade is not performed.

What am I doing wrong?,

Upload 2.9 packages to router and run command /system package downgrade
Router will reboot and install new packages.

please note that your wireless configuration will be resetted.

will it be also resetted if i upgrade to rc9?

If you upgrade from 2.9 to 3.0, configuration won’t be reset.
