How to export User Manager from 750G v4.6 to 2011LS-IN v5.16

Hi,

What is the best way to move User Manager from my RB750G (v4.6) to my new RB2011LS-IN (v5.16)?

I have nearly 800 users on my 750G with less than 4MB space remaining.

I’ve tried exporting the user manager setup to a rsc file and then importing it to the 2011LS-IN via the terminal, but a lot of the v4.6 settings do not exist / have different names in v5.16, so it fails… :unamused:

I thought about maybe reverting the 2011LS-IN back to v4.6, but I cannot find that version of ROS for the board.

I can’t upgrade the 750G to v5.16 and then export to the 2011LS-IN, because I have not got enough memory to save the npk files on the 750G. It’s also live and I don’t want to risk running into problems.

Is there any other way I can do this, without having to manually add the users and subscribers one by one, and that would preferably keep session and usage data intact?

Try installing 4.x RouterOS demo on x86 box (into some VM for example), import your UM settings on this x86 box, then upgrade it to 5.x and then move UM settings from there to your RB2011.

The following download links might be useful for you:

P.S.

I don’t think trying to install 4.x on the new Mikrotik hardware is a good idea.

Thanks, I didn’t think about that. I’ll give that a try with one of my backup routerboards.

By the way, if I were to save the user manager database, how large do you think it would be? i.e. would it be too large to fit in the remaining 4MB of space on the 750G?
