Hi friend, today I made a small change to my R52N.
I removed the standard U. FL connectors I soldered the wires directly on board.
I Link some pictures. From the tests I can attest that I have gained as many as 2 dB.
bye bye

Wouldn’t an R52Hn be an easier way to gain a few dBm? ![]()
And then you could easily replace the radio if it ever failed.

There are no stupid ideas… just people…
If the radio failed is simple replace radio and cable ![]()
I think R52Hn card is useless. Since his previous R52n a dual band already has its problems, because amplify these problems?
A tip is to use R52n whit a good antenna. Yesterday I tested my R52n changed with the parables of the Jirous JRC-24DuplEX over a link of 10km and are able to get a stable connection whit as TxPower of 2db (awesome). So I suggest this solution.

In my opinion you lost some 2 dB
) You have big enough unshielded cable trace.
uhmmmm, can be a right supposition and I will correct the cable.
