How to give each client his own ip range????

Hi with my previous WISP i connected to his mikrotik AP using a senao router. He told me that he is giving me a ip range from 192.168.13.5 up to 192.168.13.10. I would like to know how to setup my mikrotik so that i can give user mac xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx a ip range from 192.168.4.1 to 192.168.4.8. And also user yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy a range from 192.168.8.10 to 192.168.8.20.

The WISP manager does not want to tell me his secret. Can anyone maybe direct me in the rite way

Your WISP didn’t tell you because there isn’t really anything to it. Just don’t assign the ips to any other devices. If you use a dhcp server, remove that ip range from the dhcp server.

Ok if i do that will i be able to give each client a limited ip range to use as he pleases?

Yes. You will need to give your customers the same type info your ISP provided you, like ips, netmask, gateway, and dns servers.

Thanx. I will test that 2nite and give feedback

Hi im still having trouble to give each clinet a differant ip range. Can you maybe help me how to configure it. Does ip pool have to do something about this? I cant seem to find any info about people trying to do what im doing.

I know that i will have to add the subnets and gateways seperately but how?

where in winbox or telnet must i go to?

thanx

Insure the IP pool is not issuing the address range for each client. Then assign the ip/netmask/gateway/dns to each client computer on those computers.

 im still new to mikrotik. I have a bridge connection between 2 mikrotik rb433’s. On the one i also have a AP. So now i want to give each client on that AP a diffrent ip range so that they cant ping and interfere with each others ip’s. I still seem to be lost. can i assign a ip range via mac? Im sorry that im keep asking the same thing but i need more information on how it works and how to setup it. Can you maybe give me a example.thanx

You can assign only one ip per mac address with dhcp. The rest must me assigned on the client computers.
