I am trying to implement a failover between my 2 ISPs in IPv6. Both ISPs do delegate to me a /64 network each. One ISP is my main link because it offers much higher bandwidth, the second is a backup.
I read that NPT is the way to go but I could not find any good tutorial on how to implement it on RouterOS. Do you have any pointer to some good documentation?
Also I saw that in the IPv6 ND settings I can set different “preference” levels to the router advertisements. Isn’t this a simple way to achieve what I am looking for? I’m thinking maybe I could give a “high” preference to the RA for my main ISP and “medium” or “low” for the other. Would that work? Do IPv6 client always follow the RA preference indications?
