I have 1 omnitik and 5 SXT’s.
I configured a point to Multipoint connection and i got Signal To Noise only around 35 to 37 db with 2 Km. Data rate can be transferred around 2 to 5Mbps.
TX power = Default
Band= 5GHz-Only-N
channel width = 20Mhz
Frequency = 5180
Wireless Protocol = NV2
HT Tx Chains = Chain0 and chain1
HT Rx Chains = Chain0 and chain1
What i want is how to transfer Data 50 to 100 Mbps with distance 2 Km, please any one share me the command.
I changed Frequency to 5300Mhz and channel width to 20/40Mhz HT Below, then it is better for latency. but signal still low, around 26 to 30 db and can’t reach my desire.
I tried to survey and increase the pole to 6m + building 10m for subscriber far from BS 2Km. Omnitik is installed on the building with 40m high. And i get the result as picture shown.
at 2 km ur tx/rx rate should be better. perhaps it is fresnel hence the speed highs n lows and poor average. i have earler posted my result for 4 km n i get almost 100 mbps. tx/rx connectivity is 240/240.
my ap is 433ah_r52hn_dual pol 16 dbi sector.
i don’t believe n depend much on omni ant.
Your SNR is good because there is no noise in the area but your connection strength; DB is low. I personally would not be relying an omnitik at those distances rather use a 411ah or 433ah and use a 16db sector or larger omni if needed.
I just tried a 2km link with Omnitik and SXT. Free LOS. The Power is reduced because of the german regulations. I get a signal arround -70db and speed about 50mbit with 802.11, CCQ 95-100%. NV2 isnt working for the moment. We get control frame timeouts.
But i like the Omnitik. Its good device for that money.
