The RB493 and RB493G have different ethernet switch chip architectures so take care when doing this.
If you are slaving ethernet ports to a master port (using a layer 2 switch block), the rules change.
The RB493 has a single switch block for ports 2-9.
The RB493G has a switch block for ports 1 and 6-9 and another switch block for ports 2-5.
You can bridge the two blocks together if needed.
All else should work the same.
