I shall set up say on interface Ether2 a private address example 10.X.X.2/24. However, I would also like to set up on the same 1nterface Ether2 a VLAN and carved out say ten or fifteen addresses out of the above range for this. My problem is I am not sure how to note it…for example, should it be 10.X.X.20-30?.
On this VLAN, I would enable DHCP -NAT as well as port forwarding, so that any address 0.0.0.0/0 wanting to connect to 10.X.X.2/24 with UDP (universal plug and play) services for ports 4AAA or 4BBB, send it to 10.X.X.20-30…am I on the right track?
Also On this VLAN, should I also use a Mangle rule for that packages (UDP and ports) or that’s unnecessary? I am using a RB450G with OS 6.2.
