How to ping SFP Gpon module

I 've assigned an IP to the SFP port and removed sap port from bridge ;in the routers console I’m able to ping the PC from I need to ping the gpon module and the sfp module .

I 'm not able to ping from the PC to the gpon module.

You should freddle the gruntbug, or maybe try foonting the turlingdromes.

Or - possibly better - follow the instructions here:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/forum-rules/173010/1
and post your complete configuration and a description of your network topology and of the issue you are having.

If you are using a configuration based on MikroTik’s defconf (that comes with non CCR/CRS models), then what you need to do is to add the sfp1/sfp-sfpplus1 interface to the interface list “WAN”. This will assure that connections from LAN to 192.168.2.1 will be “masqueraded”.

If you are not using the defconf firewall configuration then you can try to add an explicit srcnat masquerade rule:

/ip firewall nat
add action=masquerade chain=srcnat out-interface=sfp-sfpplus1

(change the out-interface accordingly).

Hi, thanks for the initial tip … I need to reach the Gpon module (sfp port) from a PC linked to an ethernet port (Dhcp ranges=192.168.1.10-192.168.1.99 ).

Now I’m not able to ping the Gpon module in the sfp port.

thanks again

thanks !.. now I’m able to ping the SFP port from the PC on another ip class address

Nothing important, but since you have ether1 added to the bridge, the default DHCP client on it is invalid, you should disable it to avoid the red message:

/ip dhcp-client
# DHCP client can not run on slave or passthrough interface!
add comment=defconf interface=ether1

ok, noticed
thanks
