how to prioritize a program ?

so , i’m totally inexperienced with mikrotik , i just have small lan connection with small amount of users , just managing hotspot users is all i can do .
so my question is ,

i have program that i want to prioritize because it get’s affected easily with any other bandwidth usage . so if anyone can help
i want to read i just have no idea where to start
i have the list of IP addresses that program uses .

so pls if anyone can help would do me and others a great favor , or at least point me where to start reading .
already tried to look but , i feel dumb

I would create an HTB queue tree and mark the traffic going into it. Use Mangle to mark the priority traffic (you can use an address list with that). Then mark everything else at a different priority. Check out the Wiki pages on HTB and Mangle. If you are still having trouble with it, let me know, and I will help you create the rule sets.

Before, I get to involved in this, what specifically is this for?

it’s online game but honestly not going to use it for this only , going to use the same for team speak and viber , willing for skype as well but i know it uses different ports every time ,

so i have this other question , if i prioritize a program , and someone else for example using download accelerator to download something and stealing some bandwidth , will it still be affected by it ?

oh forgot to mention that i’m using v5.20 and thank u very very much
