How To Priorize MSN-Messenger?

I’m new in mikrotik and i not speak inglish, so please be patient.

Internet Conection 2Mb Down/ 256Kb Up
LAN contains 36 PC’s

I have 3 types of policies, 128Kb, 256Kb and 512Kb, for those machines. That is to say, which some PC uses the policy of 128Kb and others the policies of 256Kb and 512Kb

The problem is that the Messenger, becomes disconnected when there is much trafic. Then what I need it is to prioritize it and the only thing which it is happened to me is to prioritize the ports of messenger, but not like doing it.
Somebody can help me?

The easiest would be to add a QUEUE at the top of your QUEUE list with no limitations, and a packet mark defined under /ip firewall mangle. You should create a mangle rule like this:

/ip firewall mangle add chain=prerouting protocol=tcp dst-port=1863 action=“mark packet” packet-mark=“MSN Traffic”

Then create a queue like this:

/queue add packet-marl=“MSN Traffic”

If you don’t specify any limitations, it would default to unlimited. Now move the new queue right to the top of all your other queues.
