How to protect Against ping flooding

I am under Attach :frowning:
I catch the ip and i think it’s ping flooding , I blocked Input ICMP and i block his IP but the attack still load the downlink but there’s no request from me so the uplink is good now !
how can i solve this !!

Ask your ISP to blackhole/discard the traffic on their side of the link.

If you’re running BGP with your ISP then maybe you can trigger
the blackholing yourself via BGP. There are documented “best-practices”
for this, see http://www.nanog.org/mtg-0410/soricelli.html. Maybe
your ISP supports something like this.

I asked my ISP they promised me today cuz yesterday was sunday !
Anyway what other method the attacker can load my connection !
