I have a MT with my public ip on eth1, I have another MT connected to the first with a wireless link, this second MT has all my wireless pppoe clients on it using private ip addresses. One of my clients on this MT would like a public IP, I know how to assign him the address but I’m not sure how to map the public address so that it is visible from the internet.
I’m using RIP between the two MT’s

To overcome the problem in the sort term I have assigned the public address to the gateway MT and then dst-nat all the traffic to the private address
Well you’ve hit on the correct way to redirect incoming packets from the Public address, but you may want to add rules so that you can re- translate the outgoing packets from the Private address back to the Public address.
You probably also want to restrict the ports to only those that the customer needs, otherwise you’ll end up with a lot of unsolicited traffic on your internal network.
