HOW TO REINSTALL HOTSPOT TO ROUTER?

HI,
I MISTAKELY DELETED HOTSPOT FORM MY ROUTER,HOW TO I RELOAD IT BACK?

THANKS

If you do not have any backups, the one way how you can do it, reconfigure HotSpot once more from a start

P.S.
if you use 2.8 version, I suggest to upgrade to 2.9 and than make configurations, because HotSpot is differ in this versions.

yeah, and it is also much much easier to configure

yeap, and has many new features. (i mean HotSpot)

Thanks,am using vision 2.8.24,I have been able to reconfig the router but with out hotspot. My problem is how do i reinstall hotspot in the router?

What do you mean be reinstall ?
If you do not have any HotSpot configuration, configure it from a start, with documentation help :unamused:

And if you mean you lost the hotspot functionality, you have to re-install the hotspot package: Just upload the correct package file to the router (by FTP or SCP) and reboot…

Hi chris,

Are you saying when i download the all package verson 2.8.2.8 and upload thru ftp and reboot the router it will work?

This is just necessary when you are effectively MISSING the hotspot package. You can check this by looking at the installed packages. If this list doesn’t contain the “hotspot” package, you don’t have hotspot functionality. Then you have to upload the hotspot-2.8.24.npk to your router and reboot to install this feature package. Of course you can also upgrade to 2.8.28 (recommended…) by upload the “all packages” package and reboot (if your license still permits updates)…

system package print , you will see all instaled package on Router.

if you have valid “upgradable-until” period (check system license print), than you safely can upload 2.8.28 packages to Router FTP.
