Hi guys
My Routerboard 433H resides on a very high mast and I need to reinstall the ROS
The router always complains of kernel error and always restarts
How can i do that?
I dont want to bring it down from the mast and I dont want to loose my configurations
I have tried netinstall but netinstall is not detecting the router(maybe I need to edit the 433H Bios to boot from Lan but I cannot afford bringing it down now).
yup, modify your boot options from this point on to boot from lan first then nand , this will give you a chance to reprogram hard to reach RB’s…been there done that! ![]()
Can I edit the Routers Bios without a console cable?
If yes, Please enlighten me.
Yes, there is a way but, only If the router stays on long enough for you enter the following command
/system routerboard settings set boot-device=try-ethernet-then-
nand
Otherwise, you must use console cable to set the boot preference.
Waoh!
This is what I really need
Thanks for that
