❓ How to Reset default a Device that disabled RESET function

Hi friends
We have more than 10 SXTsq that seems disabled reset function by someone.
Devices work properly without problem but because of public access to devices, it seems someone to access and configure something on it.

What I test it (tried 20 times for each)
1. Reset button doesn’t do anything when holding it or power off then Hold and turned on.
2. The device can’t be seen in NetInstall by turning off and hold the reset button for more than 2 minutes.

It seems someone access to devices and then disabled reset functions but :
1. Which configuration they do ?
2. How can be reset it to default ?

Note : we protect that network and no one can access to devices again.

Thanks

Probably someone enabled protected routerboot. Only way to toggle it is via RouterOS.

with Protected_bootloader wiki page so :
Protected boot can be disabled by Net Install if we know both reformat-hold-button and reformat-hold-button-max time . is it correct ?
Is it anyway to test or specify it faster ?

As I already wrote: the setting can only be changed through ROS UI. If you have administrative access, then you can change it (and disable it). If you don’t, then the described procedure is the only way.
It is security matter and because of it, it should not be by-passable (easily).

You can read more deeply way of NetInstall with wireshark here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/mikrotik-basebox-keeps-beeping-rebooting/143638/2
