How to reset RB2011

Hello,
After editing a firewall rule in a Routerboard RB2011Ui AS-RM config, I lost access to its config webapp.
I’m trying to gain access back but met no success yet using the reset button on the box back.

  1. Can someone recommend (and detail) a reliable reset procedure either using this reset button, a USB cable, LCD screen (*) or a console cable ?
  2. For reset button procedure :
    2.1 How can I be 100% sure that my reset request has been received ?
    2.2 Is it possible to reset without opening the box ?
    2.3 Pushing a thin screwdriver into reset hole while powering on has no effect, it seems. Any advice on this ?

(*) I very lately read about an LCD calibration process. I’ve not run this process yet and it is currently very difficult for me to use efficiently this LCD.

Try accessing the device via mac address first via Neighbors tab in WinBox (click in MAC Address column).
As long as you haven’t disabled MAC Server for one or more ethernet ports, this is the easiest way to regain access and restore your firewall rules without resetting configuration.
(If this doesn’t work at first try, use another port e.g. ether2).

Using Winbox, I could connect to my unresponsive RB2011 and reset its config.
