Hello, I would like to be able to see one of my AP that are behind my MT Router from a remote location.
public IP: 24.136.46.174/27
local IP Network: 192.168.0.0/24
Device IP Address: 192.168.0.3
Example: I want to be in China and put in my browser my public Ip Address 24.136.46.174:??? (some port number) and be able to goto my AP webconfiguration. If you can please send me how to do this step by step it would realy help me out. I am using MT 2.8.28.
I am not sure what I need to do, but what I want is to be able to see the configuration of my AP. I am using MT without wireless, and I have an AP connected to Ether2 with an ip address of 192.168.0.3. So, when ever I am on the ntwork all I have to do is put http://192.168.0.3 on my browser and I get the login page for the AP. But if I am lets say in my office which is in another location and has nothing to do with my internal router I cant just put http://192.168.0.3 on my browser. Is like Winbox, when I am in my office I can look at winbox if i use publicip:8081 since I am using hotspot. I guess is a dst-nat rule that I need to make but I am not sure.
I had same problem. Wanted to give someone access to a webcam on my lan behind mt router. Problem though was that my MT had a dynamic public ip address. Anyhow I still wanted access to the winbox from the outside while the other person had access to the webcam only. The manuel only explained how to Destination Nat to a address on lan if the MT had static ip address, and then you lose access to the winbox console. So I setup 3rd party DynDns updater and wrote dest nat rule with the source ip specified from the person wanting the access to the webcam. It worked!
I had a similar issue, but I had quite a number of devices behind, so I used a vpn, that way I have access to all the functionaltiy I need to the devices on the network.
