How to setup repeater for wlan with multiple virtual ssid/vlans

I have multiple ssids setup on my 2.4ghz radio (guest, family, kids, office), each with its own subnet and in its own vlan.

I’ve successfully setup the repeater using the “setup repeater” button on the 2nd AP, however I can only repeat a single ssid, and whichever ssid I choose does not get the ip address for the correct vlan.

Is it possible to repeat multiple ssids (each with its own vlan)?

The 1st ap is a hap-ac2, the 2nd ap is a cap-ac. I’ve disabled the 5ghz radio to keep my trials simple.

Not in repeater mode, that works only for one SSID.
You could trunk the traffic together over the Wifi link with VLAN and then separate on the repeater into the subnets with their SSID.
It will then look as if the SSID are “repeated”.
It is basically two AP with each having same SSID and linked together over wifi (MESH network).

I see thank you. Does both AP need to be dual band, one for trunking (5ghz) and one for the repeating (2.4ghz)?

I’ve been playing around with capsman (wired), I wonder if its possible to use the 5ghz radio as the capsman link and create ssid with vlans on the 2.4ghz radio.

This scenario should be possible and would be best performing. If cAP was configured for repeating, overall performance would drop as it would use same channel for both uplink and downlink communication. If the other radio is used for trunk, then both APs can use different channel for DL and operate independantly. In addition to that, you could use nstreme or nv2 for “trunk” connection which would make setup slightly easier.
