I have RB952Ui-5ac2nD-TC
I wanted to uninstall some packages to make some space but they were installed as a bundle and i can’t uninstall single packges so i downloaded the packages as multiple npk files and uploaded them to the router and after reboot the router is dead not wifi no lan.
I tried to unbrick it using netinstall and the reset button but couldn’t get the routerboard in netinstall (although there are tftp packets in wireshark requesting vmlinux file).
So now i want to open the device and hook a serial console to see what’s causing the problem but i don’t have a clue how to open the case, there are no screws,I think there is a clip in the back of device but i don’t want to break something so how do i open the case correctly without breaking anything?
There is no serial inside, so no use in breaking the case.
Netinstall … make sure your cable is in the first port of the router, directly connected to your PC. In your PC disable all other interfaces and firewall. Hold the reset button before applying power, keep holding it for some 45 seconds or until it shows up in Netinstall. Also try other PC/OS
