I bought two RB450G 5 years ago, license level is 5, running ROS version 4.17.
recently, I would like to upgrade the ros to the latest version 6.
how to accomplished it.
the winbox gui does not have the simple button to upgrade to the latest version. and mikrotik’s official doc is a little confused.
Download new version from MikroTik download page. You can use either almost-all-in-one combined package (named Main package) or separate packages (named Extra packages) and only choose those you need (I like second option better). For RB450G you need “mipsbe” version. Then upload packages (*.npk) to router, reboot, wait a little longer than it takes for regular boot and it should come up with new version.
