Could anyone help me get Ethereal working in streaming mode? It appears that I need a TZSP server but I don’t seem to find documentation on this. ![]()
I was also wondering this as well - but the latest version of Ethereal seems to handle it better. I sniff the traffic and it seems to encapsulate the packets into the TZSP packet which are then viewable using ethereal.

Do you capture it as a file on the Mikrotik disk?
I usually have to and then ftp it down and open it with ethereal… but the new version of ethereal seems to be able to take the streaming data and display it … although its hard to tell whats what because its encapsulated and isn’t as easy to look at - but it does work now. Just turn on streaming, give it the ethereals ip address, and let it rip. Every packet logged will get sent back out to the sniffer ip you put in.
