It only works with Atheros Merlin chips. AR9220, AR9280, AR9223

Basically RouterBOARD 802.11n cards

Will the (Atheros AR5413) cards ever be able to work with this scan?

I think that Atheros AR5413 must be supported, these cards are deployed everywhere.

no, only Atheros Merlin chips (only on N cards) supports these spectral features.
